December 14, 2023 at 1:08 amSooooi true!!!! My parents had me in high school. They divorced when I was nine but my dad had to go away for work for konths at a time so I couldn’t live with him. The unspeakable things that happened to myself, ky little brother, and my two younger step brothers o still can’t talk about to this day and I’m 36. I said my whole life growing up I don’t want kids. People would ask why but I wouldn’t elaborate, but it was cayse I was terrified I’d be like my own mother and I didn’t want to have any chance of being like that. But I now have two kids, and due to my own childhood, I didn’t discipline them. Now I have a 14 year old boy who’s much bigger than all the other kids his age and he throws his weight around and he knows it. Me and his stepmom are in communication almost every day trying to figure out how to get him to see before it’s too late. His dad is the only one physically able to contain him but he works such long days, by the time he gets home after work he barely can keep his eyes open long enough to eat sbd shower. So dealing with our son doesn’t get addressed as it should. I thought when my son was growing up that he would hate me or resent me or not want anything to go with me if I spanked him or had to be the bad guy. And really he wasn’t too bad. Abd we did always talk to him about everythjng good and bad. We’re all very open and honest, but it’s a cruel world out there fir kids these days. It’s not like it was back in our day. And I really gotta give this man in the video a huge fist bump cause that’s what it takes that a lot of us don’t have or just don’t have the patience like we should. We’re ajways in a rush going everywhere doing everything so we don’t wanna have to take time we don’t have to take our kid to the parking lot, let them scream and cry and get ut all out, AnD have the patience at the same time.. but that’s exactly what we should all be doing. It’s not even just so they’ll listen. I mean yeah it’s part of ut. But in all that, it’s teaching the young child also, to have manners and respect for one thing. But also that their parent will set aside whatever they’re doing to put full focus and attention on them and that’s not a bad thing. Our kids SHOULD know that! It’s also allowing the child to play out how they feel. Cause even us as adult, if we’re upset with something, we don’t just automatically turn off our feeling just cause someone said so. And we’re adults with regulated emotions and adult feelings. They are just learning what those even are! It’s our jobs as their parents, to take the time out abd do it right. Kudos to this man and anyone else. Yes, the struggle is real sometimes, but it doesn’t have to always be that way.

December 14, 2023 at 1:32 amMy son could care less about what you take away. It moves him none. Plus, they listen to dad more than mom. I'm a single parent, do not have that kind of time to go in and out the store. My child is going to get it together on the spot.

December 14, 2023 at 3:21 amidk how people dont realize this IS gentle parenting.
gentle parenting is NOT permissive parenting, its literally just seeing your kids as people and meeting them on their level, without violence, like this guy -

December 14, 2023 at 4:15 amNeeds met first. Hungry kid? Tired kid? Short fuse. This is him teaching his kid to self regulate. He's being her safe place while she calms herself down. Strong CHILL Daddy teaching his Princess how to adjust her crown, hold her head high, and walk proud, even when she's tired or overwhelmed. Love and Grace based parenting is so beautiful! Bless this family! ❤
